The Intermediary announces Rugby Against Cancer as official charity partner

The Intermediary has announced Rugby Against Cancer as its official charity partner, marking the start of a collaboration aimed at raising funds and awareness to support individuals living with cancer.

Founded in May 2018 by Aaron Beesley, Rugby Against Cancer harnesses the power of the rugby community to enhance the lives of those affected by the disease.

Rugby Against Cancer was created from a simple idea—using rugby to bring people together to raise vital funds. The charity believes in the strong bond within the rugby community, a “tribe” united by trust, care, and support.

Its work focuses on ensuring that no one faces cancer alone, reflecting the sport’s spirit of solidarity.

Ryan Fowler, managing director at Astor Media, said: “We are proud to partner with Rugby Against Cancer as our official charity partner.

“Cancer affects so many lives, and we believe in supporting organisations that make a real difference to people’s well-being. Rugby Against Cancer’s use of the rugby community’s strength and togetherness to raise awareness and funds aligns perfectly with our values at The Intermediary.”

Through this partnership, The Intermediary aims to raise funds for the charity while increasing visibility for its vital work across the mortgage and finance industries.
